A person can strive for something their whole life, but if they give up on that goal or dream, all of that time will have been wasted for nothing. Regardless of whether or not you accomplish what you set out to, you can at least say you tried. Giving up on yourself is like scraping a dream out of your mind and flicking it like a booger onto a bathroom stall wall next to the "lookin' for a good time" phone number scribbled with doodoo.
